Q: I am a new student and I would like to study in the Learn English for Academic Purposes Program at Mount Royal University. What should I do?
A: Please send an email to mrulanguages@mtroyal.ca if you need any assistance and we will outline your next steps to prepare for study in our program.
Q: What will happen if I am unable to be in Canada for the start of the term?
A: Please email the office staff at mrulanguages@mtroyal.ca at least 3 weeks before the start of classes. We will contact you with the information needed and next steps.
Q: Will I receive a refund if I am unable to study?
A: The Learn English for Academic Purposes Program standard refund policy will apply.
Q: I need to take the placement test for a future term. How will this be done?
A: New students will be contacted by email with information on how to activate their mymru.ca account and informed how to take our assessment for placement into a level of the Learn English for Academic Purposes Program after an application to admission has been received. This is an in-person test for those already in Canada and an online assessment for international students applying from outside Canada.
Q: How can I get a Completion of Course document or Course Certificate for my employer or partner University?
A: Send an email to mrulanguages@mtroyal.ca and provide your name, student ID and identify what documentation you need. We will provide digital documents for you and also forward these on your behalf as requested.
